Superfecta Sunday at Arlington Park, Try Three

We journey to precious Arlington Park for our Superfecta Sunday adventure.  As we head into October, we could consider this day a triple witching day; the last day of the month, the last day of the quarter, and the last day of the Arlington Park meet.  Perhaps it could be a spooky good one.

Arlington Park Race 8 {1 mile~3 year old Up~Allowance}
An interesting field of ten will gallop to the gate.  There is a mild amount of speed which could make the race troublesome for the pure closers.  It should be a terrific race nonetheless.  Let's try to end our horse racing weekend on a positive note as we try to stitch together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#10 Dad Are We There (Martinez / Mathews) could be the one that sits mid-pack ready to vie for victory.  With the second highest (tie) speed number at the distance, an o.k. last out speed number, and two strong, peaking workouts this guy could romp.

#9 Al Musaddad (Hamilton / Peitz) looks ready to fire with the highest speed number at the distance, a decent last out speed number, and three credible workouts.  He could prove his mettle today.  He is our bronze horseshoe runner.
$2 SHOW.

#4 Vouch for Victory (Roman / Swearingen) will challenge with the fourth highest last out speed number at a longer route, the best in the money record, of the group, at Arlington which includes three wins over four races.  This guy could find himself loose on the front end to score the another win.

#2 Sword and Shield (Riggs / Miller) should be in the mix with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and three quality, peaking workouts.  This son of Stephen Got Even could find himself close to the pace for a gallant run.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)

#10 Dad Are We There  +  #9 Al Musaddad  +  #4 Vouch for Victory  +  #2 Sword and Shield.

A pleasant Superfecta Sunday where we will venture to magnificent Arlington Park to give a good effort at securing a 10 CENT Superfecta box.

Arlington Park Race 5 {1 1/16 mile~3 year old Up~Allowance}
A decent group of ten horses will make their start in this allowance feature.  This evenly matched field comes up a little light on speed.  There should be a small forwardly placed group chased around the polytrack by a group of tracker / closers.  From a handicapping perspective this could be a challenging one.  Let's give it a try.

#9 Dad Are We There (Martinez / Mathews) could go off as the favorite with the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and two hearty workouts. He has a tactical running style that should suit him well in this race.

#3 Jilly From Philly (Graham / Robertson) is a very consistent type that relishes the poly.  He has a couple of decent last out speed numbers that match-up well with this group, a two race progression, and one very strong workout.  He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection for this Sunday.

Superfecta Sunday at Saratoga, Round 3

Another Superfecta Sunday sneaks upon us.  Today we look at a challenging Turf battle at the "Spa".

Saratoga Race 9 {Saranac~G3~1 1/8 mile~inner TURF~3 year old~Stakes}
A great match-up of ten significant runners.  There is plenty of speed in this one which should allow the favorite, Lucky Chappy [IRE], to have an enjoyable closing run.  This relatively evenly matched field should provide us with a decent challenge to putting together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.  Let's give it a whirl.

#1 Lucky Chappy [IRE] (A. Garcia / Motion) should be the post time favorite with the highest last out speed number at a longer turf route, a two race progression and three workman like workouts.  He should have the proper pace set-up to launch his smashing kick.

#6 Quick Wit (Maragh / Romans) will give chase with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a five race progression, and one efficient workout.  He will be tracking and closing the forwardly placed horde.  He is our Bronze horseshoe selection this week.

Saratoga Stakes Saturday

A wonderfull Stakes Saturday unfolds as we get that much closer to the end of summer.

Saratoga Race 10 {Woodward~G1~1 1/8 mile~3 year old Up~Stakes}
An extremely talented field of seven will venture onto the Saratoga dirt.  Most of the field likes to be near the pace, but it should be a controlled pace with these experienced horses.  All of the horses in the field are coming off of races at this distance.  It should be a great race.

#6 To Honor and Serve (J. Velazquez / Mott) looks ready to roll with the third highest (tie) last out speed number and four superb peaking workouts.  He holds the third highest speed number at the distance adding to his value.
$1 WIN / $2 SHOW.

#3 Mucho Macho Man (Smith / Ritvo) will challenge with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three strong workouts.  He holds the highest speed number at the distance which certainly makes him a contender.
$1 PLACE / $1 SHOW.

#7 Cease (Rosario / Stall) could be the surprise sharing the third highest last out speed number, holding a two race progression, and firing four robust, peaking workouts.  Is three for three over the Saratoga track.  Watch him track this pace and cruise in the stretch.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#1 Rule (Dominguez / Pletcher) has the best jockey/trainer combination in his corner.  He should be forwardly placed coming off a dissappointing last out at Saratoga.  He shares the second highest speed number at the distance and has put in two credible workouts.
