Stakes Saturday on Turf

The lull after the 2015 Breeder's Cup Championships does have a few great stakes races. On this Stakes Saturday we look at a classic Turf distance for the ladies.

Aqueduct Race 8 {Long Island Handicap~G3~1 1/2 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~fillies/mares~Graded Stakes}

An extremely talented bunch of gals will hit the grass in this feature race. There is enough speed to keep an honest pace. Many in here will be stretching out to this classic distance for the first time. The speed numbers are relatively close with many on the improvement arc.
It should be one of the best races of the day.

#8 Mutalis Mutandis [IRE] (J. Velazquez / Walker) will be making her second North American start after successfully racing across the pond. She holds the fourth highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three strong workouts. This daughter of Mastercraftsman [IRE] should be tracking the pace closely ready to strike.
$1 WIN  /  $2 PLACE  /  $3 SHOW.

#5 Gotachancetodance (L. Saez / Pletcher) should challenge as she stretches out to this distance. She holds two good last out speed numbers, a six race progression, and two solid workouts. This gal continues to improve with each effort and should continue that trend. A daughter of English Channel, she is another that will be tracking the pace ready to roll.
$1 PLACE  /  $2 SHOW.

#3 Danza Cavallo [FR] (J. Ortiz / C. Brown) could go off as the favorite with the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three robust workouts. She has an 83% in the money record at this distance from six starts. This daughter of Sunday Break [JPN] should be forwardly placed for a first jump on the field.

#10 Walk Close (Franco / Clement) is one that should contend with the third highest last out speed number, a five race progression, and four significant workouts. She is coming off a modest workout having last been seen winning the Modesty at Arlington International. This daughter of Tapit will be tracking and closing gracefully.

Furlong Friday in Oklahoma City

A wonderful Fall Friday as we take a look at an evening race in Oklahoma City.

Remington Park Race 7 {Clever Trevor Stakes~7 furlongs~2 year-old~Stakes}

A very talented group of eight will go to the gate in this late night feature. There is an abundance of speed which should make for a heated pace. Speed figures are very close which will add to the races competitiveness. It should be a smashing good race.

#7 Whence (Cruz / Asmussen) might have the advantage with the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three superb workouts. This lad will be making his fourth career start. He should take up a pressing attack close to the pace and then spring forward into the stretch.

Other Wagering Interests

#5 Texas Chrome (Parker / Stuart) should challenge with the fourth highest last out speed number. He is 100% in the money from five career starts. This guy loves the surface and will be stretching out a little bit more for this sprint.

#1 Bavura (Berry / Calhoun) should be the favorite with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two top notch workouts. He is another with a 100% in the money record from three starts. He could be part of a speed duet on the front end.

#2 Suddenbreakingnews (Quinonez / Von Hemel) will contend with the third highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and two speedy workouts. He has the tactical speed to stay the course depending on the pace that develops. His successful experience over the Remington track will aid his effort.
