 On this Stakes Saturday we look in on another great Kentucky Derby prep race down in Florida.

A solid field of ten will go the gate searching for Derby points in this annual prep race.

Racing heats up for a spot in the gate on the first Saturday in May. This talented field of racers will be seeking the fifty points for the win in this race. There is plenty of speed in this race to produce a fast pace. Six have gone this distance and six have raced over the Tampa Bay track. Speed figs are very close making it a competitive one. It should be a very good race on an excellent card.

#1 Heartened (J. Ortiz / Pletcher) seems to be sitting on a big race with the highest (tie) last out speed number and two sound workouts. He has tactical speed to stay with the pace. This colt loves the dirt, distance, and track. A son of Street Boss, he is 100% in the money from four starts.

#9 Grand Mo the First (Camacho / Barboza) will be stretching out to this distance with the third highest last out speed number and two efficient workouts. He should be tracking the pace and strike in the stretch. A son of Uncle Mo, he is also 100% in the money from four starts.

#4 Good Money (I. Ortiz / C. Brown) should make a move forward in his second career start having put in four strong workouts in the last thirty days. This guy won his first start over this track in a seven-furlong race. Look for him to be forwardly placed. A son of Good Magic, he holds a win rate of 100%.
