Stakes Saturday at the Pegasus World Cup Races

 We look at one of the races on the Pegasus World Cup on this Stakes Saturday.

Gulfstream Park Race 12 {Pegasus W.C. Turf Invitational~G1~1 1/8 mile~TURF~4 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A full field of twelve will hit the grass in this annual grade one.

There is some speed in this race should keep the pace rolling. Speed figs are exceptionally close making it super competitive. Six millionaires are in the race. Only five entrants will be trying the Gulfstream Turf for the first time. Two will be stretching out to the distance. It should be one of the best races on an extremely superb card.

#4 One Stripe [SAf] (Lerena / Motion) will be stretching out to this distance with a powerful workout readying him. He comes in with the fourth highest (4-way tie) last out speed number where he captured first over the Gulfstream course. This lad should track the pace closely and strike in the stretch. #2 Program Trading (Prat / C. Brown) is the morning line favorite and deservedly son. He holds the highest speed number at the distance and has turned up four methodical workouts. He is another that will track the pace closely. This guy will try the Gulfstream course for the first time. A millionaire son of Lope de Vega [IRE], he is 80% in the money from ten starts.

#10 Cugino (J. Velazquez / McGaughey) is another that will track the pace closely. This guy holds the highest last out speed number and two solid workouts. He loves the Turf, distance, and course. This runner has hit the board in all three of his starts at this distance. A son of Twirling Candy, he is 78% in the money from fourteen starts.

#7 Major Dude (I. Ortiz / Pletcher) has the tactical speed to adjust to the pace. He comes in with a good last out speed number and three consistent workouts. It will be his first effort over the Gulfstream course. This lad loves the Turf and distance. A millionaire son of Bolt d'Oro, he is 66% in the money from twenty-six starts.
