Saturdays are always the most exciting for horse racing enthusiasts. This is the day on which there are always a number of quality stakes races. These races are always very competitive where the best horses are racing. Today we look at two fabulous races, the Kentucky Cup Classic at Turfway and the Maryland Million Classic at Laurel. I love Saturdays for their adrenaline inducing fun.
Turfway Race 13 {Kentucky Cup Classic [1 1/8 mile~All Weather~Stakes]}
This could be a competitive race, but there is one exceptional standout and that is Hold Me Back. His chief challengers will be Dubious Miss and Sligovitz. All three horses have had superb workouts leading up to this race. Hold Me Back is the top in class here. He will be closing fast. Both Dubious Miss and Sligovitz are coming down in distance having run a 1 3/16 mile race in their last. Sligovitz is shipping in from Woodbine (Canada) where he has been a poly monster. Lets Play it this way:
$2 SHOW: #2 Hold Me Back
10 CENT Superfecta: 2 / 9 / 6 / 3,7,4
Laurel Race 11 {Maryland Million Classic [1 1/8 mile~3 yo and Up~Stakes]}
There are two standouts in this race. Broadway Producer and Sweet Goodbye are looking best in this stakes race. The defending champ, Cuba, looks good and has trained well leading up to the race, but I'm not so sure he is in peak condition. I'm going to go with the fillie, Sweet Goodbye. Remember potential horse of the year, Rachel Alexander in the Preakness earlier this year? At the risk of being presumptuous I believe Sweet Goodbye will handle these boys just fine. By no means am I comparing her to Rachel who is in a class by herself. Sweet Goodbye has the speed numbers and the workouts to go to the lead and hold it to the wire. Let's roll it out this way:
$2 SHOW: #10 Sweet Goodbye
10 CENT Superfecta: 10,1 / 10,1 / 2,6 / 2,6,8,3,7
Thursday (9/25) Results.
Kaweah Princess won at Fairplex and High Cry scratched out of the Belmont Race.

Fairplex results were: #9 Kaweah Princess placed 1st. Order of finish for super 9-7-4-5.
Our Blue Collar bankroll is now at $6.80. Perhaps we can build on that today.
