A reduced field of ten will hit the Turf in this annual contest.

There is sufficient speed in this race to produce an honest pace. Speed figs are very close with the exception of the favorite, #6 Lush Lips [GB]. All but two have competed over the Ellis Park Turf. Every one of these ladies have gone this distance. It should be a fantastic race.
#6 Lush Lips [GB] (Gaffalione / B. Walsh) is the morning line favortie and deservedly so. She holds the highest last out speed number which she has repeated from her previous race. Four excellent workouts add to her fire power. She is the very best of this group over the Turf and at the distance. A millionaire daughter of Ten Sovereigns [IRE], she is 83% in the money from twelve races.

#7 Just Ruthless (J. Torres / R. Mott) should track the pace closely with the fourth highest last out speed number and three dynamite workouts. She loves the Turf and the distance. This gal has hit the board in all of her last three starts. A daughter of Justify, she is 57% in the money from fourteen starts.
#10 Icona [IRE] (Curtis / B. Walsh) comes to the race with the second highest last out speed number and four tremendous workouts. She excels over the Turf, at the distance, and on the course. Look for her to be positioning among the tracker pack. A daughter of Kingman [GB], she is 72% in the money from seven starts.
#4 Next Up (M. Gutierrez / Sims) is another tracker who has improved her speed figs in each of her last three races. This gal is superb over the Turf, at the distance, and on this course. A daughter of Accelerate, she is 77% in the money from thirteen starts.
Other Wagering Interests
#3 Totally Justified (Bealmear / Meah) will be cutting back in distance for this competition. She has hit the board in her last two and has a win over the course. She should track the pace closely. Another daughter of Justify, she is 37% in the money from sixteen starts.
#8 Daisy Flyer (Concepcion / Arnold) comes in with the third highest last out speed number and four strong workouts. She should be part of the tracker pack. This gal has posted respectable speed figs on the Turf, at the distance, and over the course. A daughter of Mshawish, she is 44% in the money from nine starts.
