Friday is for the Brooklyn Handicap

Today we look at a very competitive Brooklyn Handicap where there is little concensus among the pros as to which horse will win.

Belmont Park Race 10 {Brooklyn Handicap~G2~1 1/2 mile~3 year old Up}
A field of eight makes way for this annual event.  Eldaafer (Valdivia / Alvarado) has a slight edge with a 100% in the money record at the distance, the highest last out speed number, and two strong, peaking workouts.  Gangbuster (Desormeaux / Ice) looks particularly strong with the third highest last out speed number and three athletic, peaking workouts.  Alcomo [BRZ] (C. Velasquez / Caramori) appears to be a solid competitor with a decent record at this distance, a three race progression, and four stamina, peaking workouts.  Tiger's Rock (Cohen / Pletcher) has done well at this distance and greater, is two wins for two tries over the dirt surface, and has put together four hearty, peaking workouts.  Let's play Belmont Park the day before the fantastic Belmont Stakes.
