Nearing the end of summer, there is some awfully good racing in glorious Canada. On this Superfecta Sunday we take a shot on an exceptional race at Woodbine.
Woodbine Race 10 {Woodbine Mile~G1~1 mile~TURF~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A field of nine veteran TURF Warriors (excepting one) will go to the lush Canadian grass. The race stacks up as a battle between the forwardly placed and officianados of the mid-pack rally. It will be one of the most exciting races of the year. Let's try to fire off a winning 20 CENT (Oh, Canada) Superfecta box.
#7 Cityscape [GB] (Doyle / Charlton) is a well traveled multi-millionaire. He is the class of the field with two super fine last out performances holding a two race progression. This Turf monster will be biding his time mid-pack ready to strike.
#3 Wise Dan (J. Velazquez / Loprestri) will challenge from a forwardly placed position. He holds the highest last out speed number, a two race porgression, and two robust workouts. He could glide through to victory.
#9 Worthadd [IRE] (Contreras / Prescott) is another Euro-invader that should do well in this race. He performed strongly in his last race in Germany and has added a nice peaking workout since then. This son of Dubawi [IRE] is a mile specialist with the top in the money percentage (84%) at the distance. Expect him to run to the front in an effort to control the pace. He is our Bronze horseshoe runner on this pleasant Superfecta Sunday.
$2 SHOW.
#2 Dance And Dance [IRE] could be the surprise in this one with a competitive last out performance at Newmarket in Great Britain. He is another that relishes this distance and is working a three race progression coming into Canada. With a good trip this mid-packer could find himself with a nice piece of the purse.
20 CENT Superfecta Box ($4.80)
Woodbine does not offer the 10 CENT Superfecta. Apparently they desire handicappers to have a bit more skin in the game.
#7 Cityscape [GB] + #3 Wise Dan + #9 Worthadd [IRE] + #2 Dance And Dance [IRE].
