Stakes Saturday at Gulfstream

We go to Gulfstream Park to take in a high level graded stakes race on this Stakes Saturday.

Gulfstream Park Race 11 {Donn Handicap~G1~1 1/8 mile~4 year old Up~Stakes}
A high class group of ten racers will go into the starting gate for this annual grade one.  There is plenty of speed which may set up nicely for those coming from off the pace.  This should be a supremely competitive event.

#1 Bourbon Courage (Castellano / Gorder) may have a slight edge in here with the fourth highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and four superb peaking workouts.  He is coming off a nice freshening and will use his tracking capability to great advantage.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.

#2 Flat Out (Rosario / Mott) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number and five sensational peaking workouts.  This guy is coming off a layoff.  He holds the highest speed number at the distance.  His tracking and closing style will come in handy should the pace get fierce.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.

#8 Take Charge Indy (J. Velazquez / Byrne) should contend with the third highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and two solid, peaking workouts.  He should find himself forwardly placed ready to strike going into the stretch run.  This guy holds the second highest speed number at the distance.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#5 Ultimate Eagle (Pedroza / Pender) should be in the mix sharing the third highest last out speed number, holding a three race progression, and putting in three supreme, peaking workouts.  He will be one of the speedsters taking the troops through quick fractions.

#7 Csaba (Saez / Gleaves) will be in the hunt with two excellent last out speed numbers and two robust workouts.  He should find himself forwardly placed ready to make a move into the stretch.  This guy also holds the second highest (3-way tie) speed number over the Gulfstream course.

Friday's Results
Gulfstream Park R9.  Allowance.  Our first pick, Debase the Dollar, finished 6th.  Our second pick, Free as a Bird, won (1st) for place money of $4.10 and show money of $2.70.  Our third pick, Weekend Magic, was scratched.
Due to the scratch we scuttled our 10 CENT Superfecta play.  Superfecta went 6-7-4-3.
Bankroll gets a bump to $16.60.
