Hollywood Friday

On this Friday we take in a wonderful TURF contest amongst California youngsters.

An interesting group of ten youngsters will strut onto the green in this MSW feature.  Only a couple have already run on the Turf.  The race comes up a little short on speed which will make for a thrilling close.  Speed numbers over the Hollywood cushion and the two turfers are relatively comparable.  It should be a good race with a bulked up field.

#5 Nooten (Doyle / Gallagher) could have an edge with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two robust workouts.  This guy has already traveled over the Turf.  He should be tracking the pace ready to score.

#8 Hye I'm Jack (Nakatani / O'Neill) should challenge with a solid first out effort and two hearty workouts.  He should be forwardly placed battling for position coming into the stretch.

Other Wagering Interests

#10 Cernobbio (Espinoza / Machowsky) should be in the hunt with a good last out effort over the Turf at Calder Race Course.  He is the only one in the field that has gone this distance over the Turf.  This guy is working a two race progression and has put in three stellar workouts.

#6 Mauco (Orozco / Sierra) should contend with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two solid workouts.  This lad should be tracking and closing very efficiently.

Hollywood Park R7.  TURF Allowance.  Our first pick, Ricspretentiousgirl, finished 7th.  Our second pick, Fanticola, won (1st) for show money of $4.80.
Superfecta went 6-3-5-7.
Bankroll gains a few dimes to settle at $81.88.
