Thursday Sprint

We begin our horse racing weekend with a wonderful sprint down in Hot Springs.

A great and deep group of twelve will saunter to the gate in this afternoon feature.  There is plenty of speed in this crowded field.  The vast majority of this talented group of runners have highly comparable speed numbers.  It should be a terrific race to wager and watch.

#8 Big Lute (Hill / Calhoun) should be the favorite that gets the job done.  He holds the second highest speed number at the distance, ran a decent last out speed number at a longer sprint, and has put in three superb workouts.  He should travel close to the pace and strike in the stretch.

#10 Justa Runner (Santana / Asmussen) will challenge with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three solid workouts.  He should be forwardly placed close to the speedy action.  This guy also has the highest speed number at the distance.

Other Wagering Interests

#5 Cold Facts (Torres / Wiggins) should be part of the mix with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a three race progression, and four excellent peaking workouts.  This guy also holds the third highest (tie) speed number at the distance for which he is 100% in the money from five starts.

#9 Rosscat (Morales / Vega) could be a surprise with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one modest workout.  This lad shares the third highest speed number at the distance.  If the pace is hot, expect him to benefit with his tracker/closer running style.

Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Alpha Bullet, finished 2nd for show money of $4.40.
