We jump into the Horse Racing Weekend with a fine stakes race at the "Spa".
Saratoga Race 9 {Evan Shipman Stakes~1 1/8 mile~3 year old Up~NY~Stakes}
A great group of eight will go to the gate. There is enough speed in this one to keep things rolling quickly. The speed numbers look fairly close. It should be a superb race.
#8 Big Business (C. Velasquez / Jacobson) looks to stretch out with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three sharpening workouts. He should use his tactical speed to secure a winning run.
$2 SHOW.
#1 Fox Rules (Rodriguez / Ferraro) comes off three wins in a row with the second highest (3-way tie) last out speed number and one efficient workout. This guy could be forwardly placed ready to pounce in the stretch.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
