Superfecta Sunday in Canada. Fresh air and brisk weather. Great for Horse Racing.
Woodbine Race 6 {Northern Dancer~G1~1 1/2 miles~TURF~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}
A very talented group of nine will hit the Woodbine Turf in this classic race. There is lone speed which could dictate the fractions and hit the board. Speed numbers are comparable for all these lads. Our task is to string together a winning 20 CENT (Yes, that's the Canadian minimum) Superfecta ticket.
#5 Lucky Speed [IRE] (Starke / Schiergen) is coming off a victory in the American St. Leger at Arlington International where he earned the highest last out speed number at a much longer Turf route. He is working a three race progression and has put in two fine peaking workouts. This guy is the one to beat.
#7 Aldous Snow (Da Silva / Pierce) holds the second highest speed number at the distance, has two respectable last out speed figures, and has put in two shiny workouts. This lad loves the Woodbine Turf and has a solid 50% in the money record at this distance. He should improve over his last out with a close tracking effort. Our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$1 SHOW.
#6 Interpol (Wilson / Attard) is the lone speed in the race and could don the kerchief and nab this one. He holds the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two endurance producing workouts. Another that loves the Woodbine green, he could surprise.
#3 Danish Dynaformer (Husbands / Attfield) should contend mightily with the fourth highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three superb workouts. He has already notched a win at this distance and over the Woodbine course. This lad should be part of the quickening crew of trackers as they head into the stretch.
20 CENT Superfecta Box ($4.80)
#5 Lucky Speed [IRE] + #7 Aldous Snow + #6 Interpol + #3 Danish Dynaformer.
