Santa Anita Park Race 9 {Starter Handicap~6 1/2 Furlongs~downhill TURF~3 year-old Up}
A good crop of eight runners will gallop down the Santa Anita hillside Turf course. There is a great deal of speed in play. Speed numbers are extremely close giving every horse in this field a chance to walk into the winners circle. Our task is to cobble together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.
#8 Infinite Magic (Prat / West) looks to be in great form and could pull off the victory with sufficient speed up front. He holds the third highest last out speed number at a route and has put in three good stamina building workouts. This lad should be tracking the pace from the outside post. he is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.
#4 Rangi [GB] (Bejarano / Baltas) should be forwardly placed seeking to triumph with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and two handy workouts. This guy loves the distance and the Santa Anita turf.
#5 Incline Village (Pereira / Koriner) shares the second highest last out speed number, is working a three race progression, and has put in two sturdy workouts. This guy should be part of the large forwardly placed contingent.
#3 Image of Joplin (Talamo / Chew) should be in the mix with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three superb workouts. With a solid start he could grab the lead and not let go.
10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)
#8 Infinite Magic + #4 Rangi [GB] + #5 Incline Village + #3 Image of Joplin.
