Del Mar Race 8 {Torrey Pines~G3~1 mile~3 year-old~Fillies~Graded Stakes}
An assortment of scratches has reduced this field to five. We will seek to score a 10 CENT Superfecta on a eighty cent budget. All but one in the race enjoy being forwardly placed. Speed numbers are fairly close giving this a super competitive look despite the short field.
#7 Bellamentary (M. Garcia / D'Amato) looks to be the one to beat with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and four superb peaking workouts. This lass has the tactical speed to hang with the leading group sizing them up and sliding through to the finish. She is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.
#8 Belvoir Bay [GB] (N. Arroyo / Miller) should challenge while shifting from Turf to dirt. She holds a sound speed fig two starts back and has put in two endurance lifting workouts. This gal has three career wins and is 50% in the money from eight starts. She also has tactical speed to stay the course.
#5 She's a Warrior (Gutierrez / Eurton) will be in the hunt with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two hearty workouts. She relishes the Del Mar track and the distance. Expect her to track the pace closely.
#3 Kay Kay (A. Quinonez / Cerin) should be in the thick of it with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and four strong workouts. This gal is 100% in the money over the dirt and 83% in the money overall. She should be tracking ready to strike at the top of the stretch.
