Keeneland Race 9 {Lexus Raven Run~G2~7 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}
A highly talented field of twelve fillies will go to the gate in this annual affair. All of these gals seem to be in top form making it a very competitive event. There is a plethora of speed which might tip it to those coming from off the pace. Speed numbers are very close. It should be an exciting speedfest over the Keeneland track.
#12 Lightstream (Leparoux / Lynch) might have the edge with the highest speed number at the distance and third highest last out speed number. She has put in four serious workouts in preparation for this event. A daughter of Harlan's Holiday, she should be taking advantage of a lightning fast pace and close swiftly in the stretch.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.
#6 Bellamentary (M. Garcia / D'Amato) comes in from sunny California to challenge her peers. She holds a couple of very good last out speed numbers, drops down from a mile distance and has put in four superb peaking workouts prepping for this race. A daughter of Bellamy Road, she has the tactical speed to sit back and see how the pace develops.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.
#8 Curlin's Approval (Gafalione / Wolfson) ships up from sunny Florida. She holds the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three excellent workouts. This gal can be expected to be forwardly placed looking for a seam to slide through in the stretch. A daughter of Curlin, she is seeking her third win in a row.
$1 SHOW.
Another Wagering Interest
#5 Southern Girl (Geroux / L. Jones) should contend with a couple of decent last out speed figs, a win at this distance, a five race progression, and two smart workouts. She should be tracking the pace ready to dual it out in the stretch. A daughter of Tapit, she is 100% in the money from five starts.
