Del Mar Thoroughbred Club Race 7 {6 1/2 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~Allowance Optional Claiming}
A fine group of nine will strut to the gate in this late afternoon feature. There is enough speed to maintain an honest pace. Speed numbers are very close. All of these gals are assertive at this distance and enjoy the Del Mar track. Our task is to attempt to stack up a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.
#8 Wonderful Lie (Prat / Hollendorfer) appears to be in great form finishing in the money in her last two races. She holds the second highest last out speed number and three hearty workouts. This gal has the tactical speed to sit right off the leaders and change gears going into the stretch. She is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$3 SHOW.
#7 Run for Retts (Desormeaux / Miyadi) should improve coming out of a stakes race with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer sprint and four high powered workouts. She does relish the distance having scored in both of her efforts at same. This gal comes in off a modest layoff.
#4 Fantasy of Luck (Elliott / Baffert) should be in the hunt with a couple of good last out speed numbers and two robust workouts. She shares the highest speed number over the Del Mar track. This gal should be forwardly placed.
#6 Revenue Virginius (Espinoza / Hess) should be in the mix with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one decent workout. She loves the distance and enjoys the Del Mar track. This gal should be tracking the pace.
10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)
