Woodbine Race 12 {Charlie Barley Stakes~1 mile~TURF~3 year-old~Stakes}
A great field of nine will hit the grass provided the rain subsides. There is enough speed to develop an honest pace. Speed numbers are very close which should produce a highly competitive event. All are nicely bred for the Turf. Our task is to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.
#8 Yorkton (Da Silva / Simon) might be able to reel all of these lads in with the highest last out speed number and four glorious workouts. This guy will show speed and if contained properly, he could wire this field.
#6 Flowmotion (J. Ortiz / Casse) should take another step forward as he stretches out to this distance from his last that produced the third highest last out speed number of this crew. He has put in one fine workout. This guy has the tactical speed to track closely and strike in the stretch. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$1 SHOW.
#2 Made You Look (Castellano / Pletcher) comes in to face these foes with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two solid workouts. He holds the highest speed number at the distance. With a proper pace he could track and close gallantly.
#4 City Boy (Campbell / Keogh) could surprise with a couple of good last out speed numbers in which he hit the board in both efforts. He loves the surface and the Woodbine course. This lad has put in two robust workouts in the last thirty days.
10 CENT Superfecta Box ($4.80)
#8 Yorkton + #6 Flowmotion + #2 Made You Look + #4 City Boy.
