Del Mar Thoroughbred Club Race 8 {Cary Grant Stakes~7 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~CA~Stakes}
A terrific field of ten will go to the gate in this great Stakes race. There is a plethora of speed among this group which should induce a very fast pace. Speed numbers are significantly close. It should be an extremely exciting race. Our task is to hook together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.
#9 Smokey Image (Stevens / Gaines) might have a slight edge with the second highest last out speed number at a route and four sensational peaking workouts. He comes off a modest layoff well prepped to run fresh. This guy likes the surface, distance and Del Mar track. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.
#8 California Diamond (Desormeaux / Miller) comes out of a downhill Turf try at Santa Anita last out, but has done exceeding well over the dirt, distance and Del Mar track. This lad has the tactical speed to be well spotted as the pace develops. He holds a 76% in the money record from thirteen career starts.
#6 Jimmy Bouncer (Pedroza / Pender) should contend with the fourth highest last out speed number and two sturdy workouts. He should be tracking the speedy pace closely and get first jump on the trackers. This gelding notched a win at the distance in his only effort.
#10 Smokey Image (Bejarano / Moger) should be in the mix with the third highest last out speed number and four endurance heightening workouts. With two wins in a row he should be in fine form. This guy has the highest overall in the money record at 88%.
10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)
