There is nothing better then a little winter Turf as we take in a mid-level claimer in South Florida.
Gulfstream Park Race 6 {7 1/2 Furlongs~TURF~3 year-old Up~Claiming}
A good group of eleven will hit the grass in this competitive claiming event. There are enough forwardly placed types to set a decent pace. Speed numbers are fairly close. A couple of Euros make their first North American start. It should be a terrific Turf battle. Our task is to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.
#6 Unlockthepotential (I. Ortiz / C. Brown) is coming off a brief layoff with the fourth highest speed number at the distance and four hearty workouts. He is a tracker with a 50% in the money record from six career starts and 75% in the money over Turf. Expect him to go off as the favorite. A son of Crown of Thorns, he comes down from New York for his first Florida foray.
#3 Maximus Trax [FR] (L. Saez / Clement) is one of the Euro imports that competes here in the States for the first time. He hold an excellent 100% in the money record from three career starts over synthetic in Great Britain. This lad should take to the Turf well. A son of Holy Roman Empire [IRE], he has put in two marvelous workouts. He should be among the crew of trackers. Our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$3 SHOW.
#9 Stock Trade (J. Ortiz / Mott) should challenge coming off a route with three robust workouts. He holds the second highest last out speed number and has his win at this distance. A son of Molivatior [GB], he is another that should be tracking the pace.
#5 Exprompt [FR] (Gaffalione / Walsh) is the other Euro coming after racing over in Great Britain. He achieved his win last out prior to an extended layoff. This newly gelded son of Choisir [AUS], gets first time Lasix, He is another expected to track the pace.
