In the search of Turf, we focus on a nice mile race in the Valley of the Sun.
Turf Paradise Race 4 {1 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Allowance Optional Claiming}
A good group of eight will venture onto the Phoenix Turf. There is some speed to keep the pace moving swiftly. Speed figs are fairly close making it a very competitive event. All have raced a fair amount of times this year which could make it any of these lads race. Our task is to weave together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta Box ticket.
#5 Boundary Bay (D. Velazquez / Gann) will be striding onto the Turf for the first time with the highest last out speed number and two sound workouts. This guy also holds the second highest speed number at the distance, albeit on dirt. A son of Harbor the Gold, he should show speed from the gate opening. Could be the favorite.
#8 Parking Permit (A. Cruz / J. Brown) holds the highest speed number over the Turf Paradise TURF and has put in two hearty peaking workouts. This lad favors the surface and distance. A son of James Street, he should be tracking the pace looking to strike in the stretch.
#2 Its a Boy (S. Stevens / Brinson) is coming off an extended layoff with two strong peaking workouts. This guy holds the fourth highest speed number at the distance. He does like the Turf Paradise course. A son of English Channel, he should track and close efficiently. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$3 SHOW.
#6 Christine's Jack (L. Valenzuela / Knapp) should pose a quality challenge with the third highest last out speed number and fourth highest (tie) at the distance. He is 100% in the money over the Turf Paradise course. A son of famed Musketier [GER], he should track the pace carefully and launch into the stretch.
10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)
#5 Boundary Boy + #8 Parking Permit + #2 Its a Boy + #6 Christine's Jack.
