Stakes Saturday in Florida

On this Stakes Saturday we take a look at a small stakes race down in usually sunny South Florida.

Gulfstream Park Race 9 {Unbridled Stakes~1 1/16~3 year-old~Stakes}

A small field of seven is signed up to go to the gate in this featured stakes race. There is some speed to create an honest pace. Only two in this field have gone this distance. Speed figures are fairly close among this crew. With Kentucky Derby 146 re-scheduled for the first Saturday in September, it is possible that these fellas might get onto the trail going forward.
It should be a very fine race.

#2 Americanus (Zayas / Hennig) looks to take another step forward as he stretches out to this distance. He has a 100% in the money record over the Gulfstream Track. This colt comes in with the fifth highest last out speed number and three hearty peaking workouts. A son of War Front, he should be tracking the pace closely looking to strike.

#4 Relentless Dancer (C. Landeros / Maker) will contend sharing the highest last out speed number and putting in four superb peaking workouts. He is one of two that have already raced at this distance. A son of Midshipman, he should be the leader of this pack and has the opportunity to wire the field.

#3 Dr. Post (I. Ortiz / Pletcher) looks to go off as the favorite in his third career start. He shows the fourth highest last out speed number and two solid workouts. This guy will be stretching out to this distance. A son of Quality Road, he should be tracking the main group ready to strike.
$1 SHOW.

#7 Attachment Rate (L. Saez / Romans) should challenge sharing the highest last out speed number and four strong workouts. He will be stretching out showing a 100% in the money record over the Gulfstream oval. A son of Hard Spun, he should be tracking the pace closely.
