Fair Grounds is Open in NOLA

 Fair Grounds has opened, and we look forward to a long and hopefully, profitable meet. On this Stakes Saturday we look in on a smashing sprint race for the Louisiana bred lads.

Fair Grounds Race 8 {Monte Man Stakes~6 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~LA~Stakes}

A good group of ten will go to the gate in this Louisiana stakes race.

There is a ferocious amount of speed in this one. Speed figs are fairly close making this race competitive. Only three have not yet raced over the Fair Grounds track. All are well prepped for the start of the Fair Grounds season. It should be an exciting race.

#2 Bertie's Galaxy (Loveberry / Faucheaux) looks read to blast from the gate and not look back. He holds the third highest last out speed number and two solid peaking workouts. A son of Greely's Galaxy, he is 80% in the money from twenty-five career starts.

#6 Takes Two to Tango (L. Quinonez / J.L. Garcia) should show speed amongst the pack of speedsters. He holds the fourth highest last out speed number and one sound workout. A son of Half Ours, he is 62% in the money from sixteen career starts.

#1 Brian's Iron Mike (J. Stokes / Landry) is another speedster in the mix. He holds the top last out speed number at a longer sprint and two superb workouts. This gelding is in great form and could take down this field. A son of Iron Fist, he is 88% in the money from nine career starts.
