A Fair Grounds Stakes Saturday

 A great day of racing at the Fair Grounds will unfold as we look in on an exciting Turf race on our Stakes Saturday.

Fair Grounds Race 8 {Colonel E. R. Bradley~1 1/16 mile~TURF~4 year-old Up~Stakes}

A modest field of eight will run over the Turf course. Due to the continued reconditioning of the course the Turf fields are restricted to eight.

There are three on the Also eligible list and one of these, #9 Gentle Soul (R. Gutierrez / Calhoun), could have an impact on the race. The other two would have to show great improvement. There is enough speed to maintain a strong pace. Speed numbers are very close. It should be a significantly competitive race. Three have not yet ran over the Fair Grounds course. It should be an awesome race.

#2 Price Talk (Geroux / B. Cox) should be the deserved favorite with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and two strong workouts. This guy should track the pace closely. He loves the surface and the distance. A son of Kitten's Joy, he is 75% in the money from sixteen career starts.

#6 Sailing Solo (Loveberry / Roussel) will challenge with the highest speed number at the distance and three superb peaking workouts. He will be the speedster that could wire the field. A son of Smart Strike, he is 72% in the money from eighteen career starts.

#5 Ready to Purrform (Lanerie / B. Cox) should contend with four consistent workouts. He should track the pace and strike in the stretch. He is undefeated at this distance. Another son of Kitten's Joy, he is 62% in the money from eight career starts.

#3 Two Emmy's (Pedroza / H. Robertson) will be in the mix with the third highest last out speed number and three stamina producing workouts. He has the tactical speed to meet the pace. A son of English Channel, he is 68% in the money from twenty-two career starts.
