A Jersey Shore Sprint on Stakes Saturday

 A great Saturday of numerous stakes racing across North America. We look in on a superb sprint along the Jersey Shore.

Monmouth Park Race 8 {Jersey Shore Stakes~6 Furlongs~3 year-old~Stakes}

An interesting and extremely competitive field of nine will go to the gate.

Plenty of speed will duel mightily on the front end of this fabulous dirt sprint. Speed numbers are very close and all of these are proven at this distance. All of these lads are well prepped through very goods workouts. It is a very intriguing race to wager and watch.

#2 Squire Creek (Castillo / B. Cox) is the morning line favorite and deservedly so. He holds the second highest last out speed number at a longer sprint and three hearty workouts. Look for him to be forwardly placed. This will be his first start over the Monmouth track. A son of Uncle Mo, he is 100% in the money from four career starts.

#8 Heldish (Rendon / Maker) has the tactical speed to meld into any pace that develops. He has hit the board in his last three where he tripled-up his speed figs. A strong workout tab of four works adds to his value. This guy loves the surface, distance, and course. A son of Great Notion, he is 80% in the money from ten career starts.

#6 Super Chow (Olver / Delgado) will be part of the speed faction. He holds the third highest last out speed number and has one power bullet workout. This colt is another that loves the dirt, distance, and track. A son of Lord Nelson, he is 90% in the money from eleven career starts.

Other Wagering Interests

#4 Wild Mule (N. Juarez / D. Ward) should track the pace closely with a couple of good last out speed numbers and two efficient works. This lad has won all three of his races over the Monmouth track. A son of Army Mule, he is 75% in the money from eight career starts.

#7 Swirvin (McCarthy / S.A, Joseph) is another that should be part of the pack of speedsters. He comes into this race with the highest last out speed number at a longer sprint and three solid workouts. Coming up from Gulfstream Park this will be his first Monmouth Park start. A son of Girvin, he holds a 66% win rate from three starts.

#5 Minister for Magic (Pennington / Cibelli) holds the fourth highest last out speed number and two excellent workouts. He should track the pace closely. This guy does hold the highest speed number over the track. A son of Malibu Moon, he has a 40% win rate from five starts.
