 We look in on a terrific Stakes race on the Turf down in Kentucky.

Churchill Downs Race 10 {Commonwealth Turf~G3~1 1/16 mile~TURF~3 year-old~Graded Stakes}

A reduced field of eight will hit the Turf in this exciting contest.

This one comes up a little light on speed. Speed figures are very close. Half the field have raced over the Churchill course. Two will be stretching out to this distance. All seem to have been well prepped for this race. it should be a good one.

#7 Lagynos (Prat / Asmussen) comes in with the third highest last out speed number and two solid peaking workouts. This guy loves the Turf, distance, and course. He should take up a tracking position and launch into the stretch. A son of Kantharos, he is 58% in the money from twelve starts.

#9 Evade [FR] (Gaffalione / Maker) comes in with the second highest last out speed number and one sound workout. He will stretch out to this distance while tracking the leaders. Last racing at Keeneland, this will be his first try over the Churchill course. A son of Wootten Bassett [GB] he is 33% in the money from nine starts.
