Going Long on the Turf for Superfecta Sunday

 We go long on the Turf at Keeneland for our Superfecta Sunday play.

Keeneland Race 5 {1 1/2 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Allowance}

A nice full field of twelve will go to the gate in this mid-card feature.

There is sufficient speed in this race to create an honest pace, though you can expect an explosive quickening coming into the stretch. Speed numbers are fairly close with a number of entrants hitting the triple-digit mark within their last three. Only four have run over the Keeneland course. Five will stretch out to the distance. It should be one of the best races on the card.

#12 Crystal Quest (Prat / Trombetta) will be tracking and closing into a decent pace. He comes in with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and three strong peaking workouts. This lad loves the Turf, but will be stretching out to the distance. A son of Uncle Mo, he is 60% in the money from fifteen starts.

#4 Presider (Curtis / Russell) should be part of the pace scenario. He loves the Turf and distance. This guy has hit the board in his last three races. He is one of the four that have run over the Keeneland course. A son of Connect, he is 66% in the money from twenty-four starts.

#3 El Rezeen (J. Ortiz / Pletcher) is another that should be part of the tracker pack. He has hit the board in both of his starts over the Keeneland course. This guy holds the highest speed number at the distance. A son of English Channel, he is 54% in the money from eleven starts.

#5 Common Defense (J. Ortiz / McPeek) should track the pace closely. He shares the second highest last out speed number and has two stout workouts in the last thirty days. This lad excels over the Turf and at the distance. A son of Karakontie [JPN], he is 77% in the money from nine starts.

Maryland Millions Day

 A great Stakes Saturday unfolds with smashing races across the continent. We look to the Maryland dirt for a fantastic sprint race.

Laurel Park Race 12 {MD Million Sprint~6 furlongs~3 year-old Up~Stakes}

A nice field of nine will go to the dirt in this annual contest. Hopefully the field stays intact as we publish this before scratches are announced.

There is plenty of speedy and forwardly placed types to keep the pace rolling. Speed numbers are fairly close with only three having hit triple-digit speed figs. All have competed over the dirt, distance, and Laurel track. It will be a tremendous race to cap off the Laurel card.

#8 Haileysfirstnotion (M. Sanchez / Capuano) comes in with the highest last out speed number and two speedy peaking workouts. He should be the controlling speed and will seek to wire the field. He holds the highest speed number over the dirt, distance, and track. A son of Great Notion, he is 90% in the money from ten starts.

#9 Twisted Ride (A. Hernandez / Moore) will challenge with the third highest last out speed number (tie) and one bullet workout. He should be forwardly placed seeking positional authority. #1 Catahoula Moon (X. Perez / Robb) should track the sizzling pace and strike in the stretch. He shares the third highest last out speed number and has posted two superb workouts. Superfecta Sunday in Oklahoma

 On this Superfecta Sunday we look at the lucky last on the Remington Park card.

Remington Park Race 9 {7 1/2 Furlongs~TURF~3 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~Maiden Claiming}

A nice field of ten will hit the green in this Maiden race.

There is enough speedy types in the race to produce an honest pace. Only three have traveled this distance. Four have run over the Remington course. Another four will be trying the Turf for the first time. Speed numbers are fairly close. It should be a highly competitive race.

#10 Oh My Vron (Wiseman / Williams) comes in from Del Mar for her second start. She drops in class with a decent last out speed number and three solid workouts. She should close into a fast pace. This gal will stretch out as well as try the Turf for the first time. A daughter of Om, she is the morning line favorite.

#9 Joyful Image (Cunningham / Stephens) is dropping slightly in distance having repeated her speed figs in her last two. She should be part of the tracker/closer crew gunning it in the stretch. #2 Powerwashed (r Diaz / Gustafson) comes in with the third highest last out speed number at a slightly longer distance and one diligent workout. She has the tactical speed to adjust to the pace. It will be her first attempt over the Remington Turf. A daughter of The Factor, she is 20% in the money from five starts.

#8 Royal Subject (Purcell / Eoff) will show speed. She shares the third highest out speed number and two robust workouts. This gal is one of three that has raced over the Turf, at the distance, and on the Remington Park course. A daughter of English Channel, she seeks to hit the board for the first time in her eighth start.

Stakes Saturday in Kentucky

 A great Stakes Saturday of racing across the country. We look in on a fantastic Turf race in Lexington, Kentucky.

Keeneland Race 10 {Coolmore Turf Mile~G1~1 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

With one scratch, eleven will hit the grass in this Breeder's Cup win and your in race.

There is plenty of speed and close to the pace types to bring about a sizzling pace. Speed numbers are fairly close. It is an extremely competitive race with any of these entrants having a chance to win. Only three have raced over the Keeneland course. five millionaires make an appearance. Two will stretch out to this distance and one will drop to this distance for their first foray at a mile. It should be an exhilarating race.

#4 Diego Velazquez [IRE] (Dettori / A. O'Brien) is a Euro invader that comes in after winning his last two. This lad loves the Turf and the distance with strong win percentages at both. He should track the pace closely and strike in the stretch. A millionaire son of Frankel [GB], he holds a 54%-win rate from eleven starts.

#8 Program Trading [GB] (Prat / C. Brown) comes in from Saratoga and will try the mile distance for the first time. He holds a strong last out speed number and three sound workouts.
