 We look at a terrific, graded Turf race on this Stakes Saturday.

#7 Mercante (J. Ramos / Knippenberg) should chase the pace closely. He cuts back in distance with one solid workout. This guy relishes the distance and the course. He exits a grade one at a longer distance. A son of Gun Runner, he is 57% in the money from nineteen starts.
