Superfecta Sunday Switch

 We'll take a look at the "Lucky Last" at Keeneland on this Superfecta Sunday. We take a quick look at this race as we originally wanted to tee-up the California Distaff at Santa Anita, but it was decimated by scratches. So, Keeneland maidens it will be.

Keeneland Race 9 {6 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~Maiden Special Weight}

A reduced field of ten will go to the gate in this getaway race.

Past Performances used:  Equibase.

Half the field have raced. The other half are first time starters. It should be a highly competitive race. There is some speed to take the pace to a good level. All are well prepped for the race. Only three have raced over the track. It should be a fine race to conclude our horse racing weekend.

#3 Colossus (Gaffilione / B. Walsh) will be making his second start after a year layoff. He raced over the Keenland track in a seven-furlong race for that first start finishing off the board. A nice sturdy four work tab shows that he is ready for a strong effort. A son of Constitution, he will be looking to hit the board while tracking the pace.

$2 WIN  /  $3 PLACE  /  $5 SHOW.

#1 Eleos (J. Torres / Munoz) is the most experienced racer in the field. He comes to the race with the highest last out speed number in all three of his last three races. He hit the board in all three of them. This lad has tactical speed to meet the pace. A son of Hard Spun, he is 58% in the money from twelve starts.

#12 Good Company (J. Velazquez / B. Lynch) is a first-time starter with powerful connections. Three superb workouts demonstrate his readiness. A son of Nyquist, he is the morning-line favorite.

#6 Emilio (I. Ortiz / B. Cox) is another first-time starter. This son of Charlatan was a 1.5 million USD purchase. Strong connections not only have confidence in this guy. He is greatly prepped with four supreme workouts.

Other Wagering Interests

#8 Justice (L. Machado / Mackey) will be making his second start after a modest layoff. He will sit in the tracker pack. Of the five that have run, he holds the second highest last out speed number. Three dynamite workouts show he is ready for battle. A son of Justify, he will be seeking to hit the board.

#11 We Be Mischief (Concepcion / S. Asmussen) is another first-time starter with great connections. He was purchased for 575k USD. Three powerful workouts indicate he is ready for a fantastic performance. A son of Into Mischief, he should outrun his odds.
