Today we look at a sun-filled stakes race at Santa Anita.
Santa Anita Race 7 {San Antonio Handicap~G2~1 1/8 mile~4 year old Up~Stakes}
This appears to be a very competitive race. There are two standouts in this bunch. Richard's Kid (Gomez / Baffert) has the highest last out speed number with four solid peaking workouts. There is no doubt trainer, Bob Baffert, will have this guy ready. Furthest Land (Leparoux / Maker) has the highest speed number at the distance as well as the top speed at Santa Anita. He has put together two nice workouts in preparation for this race. Dakota Phone (M. Garcia / Hollendorfer) looks tough also. A strong last out speed number and three good peaking workouts show he is ready. Mast Track (Smith / Shirreffs) shows a decent last out speed number and four super workouts. Philatelist(GB) (Bejarano / Ascanio) will race in the U.S.A for the first time. He has raced well in Great Britain and could be the surprise in this race. Let's play Santa Anita.
