To Monmouth on a Friday

Today we look at a nice sprint on the dirt for fillies and mares at Monmouth Park.

Monmouth Park Race 7 {6 furlongs~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Allowance}
A great group of talented fillies and mares will line up in this race.  A very slight edge goes to Slam the Cat (Castro / McBurney) with the highest last out speed number a nice three race progression and a bullet workout.  Deona (P. Lopez / Vitali) will challenge with speed.  She is 100% in the money at the distance, has a decent last out speed number, and a good workout.  Fortune Play (Thompson / Dickey) will be battling in the stretch with another consistent performance.  She has the second highest last out speed number and two quality workouts.  Aegean (Trujillo / Ward) looks ready with the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression and one superb bullet workout.  She will be operating at the front end hoping to hold on in the stretch.  Catch a Thief (Marquez / Hills) should perform well looking for a piece of the purse pie with a decent last out speed number and three robust workouts.  Let's play Monmouth Park.
