This will be the race of the weekend. Another highly competitive derby prep race, expect some surprises. The entire field of twelve are all in top form and are closely matched. This race features an outstanding group of derby aspirants!!!
#2 Alternation (Quinonez / Von Hemel) has a mini-edge with the highest last out (tie) speed number at a route, a three race progression, and two fierce, peaking workouts. He will be ready to close for home.
$2 SHOW.
#5 JP's Gusto (Dominguez / Pertalino) will challenge and could easily pull off the victory with the second highest last out speed number at a route distance and two wickedly quick, peaking workouts. He will be sitting ready to pounce on the leaders heading for home.

#12 Bluegrass Jam (M. Baze / W. Fires) will surprise with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a well managed four race progression, and possibly the best workout tab of four robust, peaking workouts. He will be well positioned for a great close.

#9 Sway Away (Gomez / Bonde) looks well primed to do well in this race with the second highest overall last out speed number (at a sprint), a two race progression, and two hearty workouts.
#6 The Factor (M. Garcia / Baffert) will be the speed of the race and could run away with it. He has the highest overall last out speed number (at a sprint) and two swift bullet workouts. Trainer, Bob Baffert, has this guy ready.
#10 Elite Alex (Borel / Ritchey) will be closing fast should the pace overheat. He has a couple of decent last out speed numbers and will be moving up to a longer route. This colt has a two race progression and two endurance peaking workouts.
