A great stakes Saturday shapes up today. Belmont Park is the venue where we land for some superb stakes action.
Belmont Park Race 9 {Mother Goose~G1~1 1/16 mile~3 year old~fillies~Stakes}
A fantastic field of seven will line up for this one at the "Big Sandy". An even mix of the forwardly placed and those that like to come from off the pace. Should be an exciting finish.
#4 Joyful Victory (Dominguez / Jones) has the edge with the second highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer route, a five race progression, and three solid workouts. She looks ready to chalk up another victory.
$2 WIN.
#5 Busters Ready (J. Velazquez / Pletcher) will challenge with the highest last out speed number at a longer route, a three race progression, and three mighty workouts. She will launch a pressing attack.
$1 PLACE / SHOW.
#2 Salty Strike (Cruz / McPeek) looks ready for a strong performance sharing the second highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and one strong workout. She looks to track the pace and make a go of it in the stretch.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#6 R Gypsey Gold (Castellano / Pletcher) If she makes the start here (she is cross-entered in R10--Boiling Springs at Monmouth Park), she will undoubtedly be in the mix. She has a victory at this distance, a two race progression, and two solid workouts.
#7 Alseera (A. Garcia / McLaughlin) will be moving up in distance with the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one good workout. She could surprise.
10 CENT Superfecta
#4 Joyful Victory / #5 Buster's Ready / #2 Salty Strike / #6 R Gypsey Gold -OR- #7 Alseera.
Friday's Results
Monmouth Park R10. Washed off the Turf. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Only three of the nine entered ran, the rest were scratched. Our first pick, Tastefully Smart, did win. But all wagers were scuttled.
Bankroll remains at $9.05.
