It is here. The final leg of the Triple Crown, the Belmont Stakes.
Belmont Park Race 11 {Belmont Stakes~G1~1 1/2 mile~3 year old~Stakes}
A star-studded field of twelve will make the start in this great race. Eight horses in the field ran in the Kentucky Derby and four had run in the Preakness. It will be an exhilarating race.
#1 Master of Hounds (Gomez / O'Brien) is fresh, ready, willing and able. We have to admit we are hound dogs. Yes, he was our pick in the Kentucky Derby. He returns to the United States to make another run for the victory. He holds the fourth (tie) highest last out speed number and European style training may bring this guy to a peak performance for this race.
$1 WIN / $2 SHOW.
#9 Animal Kingdom (J. Velazquez / Motion) is the real deal and make eke out a victory at this "marathon" distance. He has the second highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and one bullet workout. He will be closing swiftly on the leaders.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.
#6 Nehro (Nakatani / Asmussen) will be firing fresh with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a five race progression, and three superb, peaking workouts. Another who will be closing quickly seeking the cure for his seconditis.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#5 Brilliant Speed (Rosario / Albertrani) looks ready to run a big race sharing the fourth highest last out speed number, an eight race progression, and three fabulous, peaking workouts. He too will be closing in the stretch looking for a piece of the purse pie.
#12 Shackleford (Castanon / Romans) will be part of the front pace group and will be working hard to hold on for a piece. He holds the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and one robust workout. He could wire the field.
