Closing day at Santa Anita brings us to a final Superfecta Sunday at that "Great Race Place" for the Spring meet.
Santa Anita Race 9 {San Juan Capistrano~G2~1 3/4 mile~TURF~4 year old Up~Stakes}
A fine field of six will make their start in this "marathon" Turf race. Despite the small field all running styles are represented in here. It should be a great race. Let's piece together a solid 10 CENT Superfecta box
#2 Bourbon Bay (Rosario / Drysdale) is well prepped as the horse to beat. He holds the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three superb workouts. He is the only one in the field with a win at this distance.
#1 Dhaamer [IRE] (Bejarano / Mitchell) could challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three solid workouts. He could track and close valiantly.
#5 Bonfire Knight [GB] (Talamo / Miyadi) should be in the mix with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and four stamina inducing workouts. He appears ready to run a longer route. This guy is our bronze horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.
#3 Hog's Hollow (Flores / Gallagher) will share speed duties with the third highest last out speed number and two strong workouts. He is coming off a mile and a half turf contest and looks ready to go this distance.
10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)
#2 Bourbon Bay + #1 Dhaamer [IRE] + #5 Bonfire Knight [GB] + #3 Hog's Hollow.
