We begin the horse racing weekend with a nice Turf contest down in New Orleans.

A nice field of nine graceful ladies venture onto the grass in this feature.  There is some speed to keep the pace active.  A majority in this one are coming off layoffs so will be firing fresh.  It could be an exciting race.

#8 Liz Pendens (Graham / Stidham) is coming off a modest layoff, but should be ready.  prior to the layoff she posted the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and has put in three superb workouts.  She holds the highest speed number at the distance. This gal should share front running duties.

#7 With A Twist (Albarado / R. Scherer) is another coming off a brief layoff with the highest last out speed number and four robust peaking workouts.  She holds the second highest speed number at the distance and is 88% in the money in nine starts.  This lady should be tracking the pace well.

Other Wagering Interests

#3 Ocean Bertie (Bridgmohan / Margolis) should contend with the third highest last out speed number and one sound workout.  She should share front running duties or be pressing the pace.

#4 Noun (Clark / L. Jones) could surprise as she stretches out with pressing capabilities.  She has a couple of good last out speed numbers and has put in three stout workouts.
