We start our horse racing weekend peering at a nice Turf contest in the Sunshine State.
Gulfstream Park Race 8 {7 1/2 furlongs~TURF~3 year old~Optional Claiming}
A great group of eleven turfers will take to the green in this feature. There is enough speed and forwardly placed types to keep a swift pace on. The speed numbers are very close which should guarantee a contentious race. It should be a great start to our horse racing weekend.
#5 Bashart (Castellano / Matz) should be the favorite with the highest last out speed number at a route, a four race progression, and two steady workouts. He should be tracking the pace closely ready to strike going into the stretch. This lad is among four with a solid in the money record.
$2 SHOW.
#1 Zane (Goncalves / Nihei) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number at a route, a two race progression, and three outstanding workouts. This guy holds the highest speed number over the Gulfstream course. He should be tracking and closing hard.
$1 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#11 Tryer (Hernandez / Wolfson) should be in the mix with a couple of good last out speed numbers and three mighty peaking workouts. He should be close to the pace and get first jump on the leaders.
#3 Dangerous Lad (Zayas / O'Connell) should contend with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and one bullet workout. He has a versatile running style that could fit extremely well in this group.
