Hard to believe the horse racing weekend comes to a close already. Today we look at a fine Maiden Special Weight race on the Turf.

A good crop of ten will take to the grass with another four on the outside looking in. The entire group looks well prepped to break their maiden. It comes up a little light on speed which should make for a fascinating race. Our task is to forge together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#9 Housemaker [GB] (Bejarano / O'Neill) will make her first North American start after two successful races across the pond. She finished second in both. This gal could be the front runner that has the potential to wire the field. Her last out was a longer route prior to a few months rest.

#10 Meta Mu (T. Baze / Mulhall) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two grand workouts. She is 100% in the money in her four starts which adds to her luster. She is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.

#4 Awesome Diamond [IRE] (Prat / Biancone) should be in the mix with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and two superb peaking workouts. She has already hit the board at this distance and holds the second highest (tie) speed number at same.

#6 Danette (Desormeaux / Desormeaux) should be in the hunt as she steps onto the grass for the first time. She holds the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two strong workouts. Despite not winning her maiden in eight tries, she has hit the board four times.

Fair Grounds R9.  Black Gold Stakes.  Our first pick, Another Lemon Drop, finished 2nd for place money of $3.40 and show money of $3.60.  Our second pick, Fusiachi Flame, finished 9th (last).  Our third pick, Fly Friendly Fly, finished 3rd for show money of $2.10.
