Off we go on to the Turf down in New Orleans.
Fair Grounds Race 10 {Fair Grounds Handicap~G3~1 1/8 miles~TURF~4 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}
A nice group of Turfers will take to the grass in this feature Turf race. There is enough speed in this one to keep a decent pace. Speed numbers are very close which should make for a highly competitive outing. Another great Fair Grounds Turf race should unfold.
#6 Chocolate Ride (Geroux / Cox) should be the favorite with the highest last out speed number and three robust peaking workouts. This guy has the highest speed number at the distance, a three digit one at that. A son of Candy Ride [ARG], he should show his speedy way around the course.
$1 WIN
#7 Departing (J. Velazquez / Stall) should challenge with the third highest last out speed number and two seriously fast workouts. This son of War Front can be expected to track the pace closely. A millionaire, he has shown an affinity for this distance.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.
#3 Roman Approval (Castellano / Maker) will contend with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three stout workouts. He will be stretching out for this distance, but has already proven his mettle over the Fair Grounds course. This son of Roman Ruler has the tactical speed to sit right in the pace.
$1 SHOW.
#9 String King (Graham / Smith) should be in the thick of it. This old millionaire still has some racing to do with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and one solid bullet workout.
