Belterra Park Race 4 {1 1/16 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Maiden Special Weight}
A solid field of eleven will saunter to the green in this early on the card Turf battle. It comes up light on speed with any one of these being sent by their connections in an attempt to win on the front end. Speed numbers are all over the charts making for a handicapping challenge. It should be a nice race on a relatively new Turf course. Our task is to weld together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta Box ticket.
#9 Mrs. A [IRE] (Fontenez / W. Ward) might have her way with these boys as she makes the surface switch from dirt to turf. This gal is a daughter of Galileo [IRE], as such, she should relish the Turf. She holds the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and two sharp peaking workouts. She is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$3 SHOW.
#2 Warrior Prince (McKee / Sharp) should challenge as he makes the change from dirt to Turf as well. His first two races were duds, but he drops down further in the Maiden Special Weight ranks. This guy has put in two hearty workouts. He could track the pace nicely as he stretches out an additional forty yards.
#8 Soul Allegience (Mayta / Baca) should contend as he continues to race along the edge of victory having been in the money six times from thirteen starts. He shares the fourth highest last out speed number and has put in two robust workouts. With some pace he should find himself in the money once again.
#5 Redneck Ransom (Murgia / Woodbury) should be in the mix with the highest last out speed number and a four race progression. He has succeeded over the Belterra course hitting the board in his only race over it. This lad is capable of tracking the pace and hitting the turn fluidly.
10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)
#9 Mrs. A [IRE] + #2 Warrior Prince + #8 Soul Allegience + #5 Redneck Ransom.
