Woodbine Race 10 {Pattison Canadian International~G1~1 1/2 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}
A highly talented field of ten will hit the Canadian green in this annual event. There is sufficient speed to keep the pace going. Speed numbers/ratings are comparatively close which should produce an extremely competitive race. Our task is to link together a winning 20 CENT Superfecta box ticket.
#10 Chemical Charge [IRE] (Murphy / Beckett) comes in from across the pond to battle on the Canadian Turf. He has won his last two over in Great Britain producing a three race progression. He is a very consistent sort who is 92% in the money from thirteen career starts. This son of Sea the Stars [IRE] should be close to the pace ready to break away in the stretch. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.
#4 Idaho [IRE] (Moore / A. O'Brien) comes in from France where he ran in the "Arc" at Chantilly in unremarkable fashion. This lad has, arguably, some of the best connections in the World. He is a millionaire that has run over the Woodbine course. Holding the highest last out rating, he should travel close to the pace. A son of Galileo [IRE], good improvement should be shown.
#2 Flamboyant [FR] (Rosario / Gallagher) is coming in from sunny California with the second highest speed number, a four race progression, and three stamina producing workouts. This son of Peer Gynt [JPN] has the highest speed number over the surface and will be tracking the pace ready to charge into the stretch.
#9 Erupt [IRE] (Alvarado / Motion) is another millionaire that should contend from a tracking position. He is the defending champ of this race and appears to be coming into form with four superb workouts. A son of Dubawi [IRE], he'll manage the distance well.
20 CENT Superfecta Box ($4.80)
#10 Chemical Charge [IRE] + #4 Idaho [IRE] + #2 Flamboyant [FR] + #9 Erupt [IRE].
