 On this Stakes Saturday we take in a nice dirt mile race under the Twin Spires.

Churchill Downs Race 9 {Chilukki Stakes~G3~1 mile~3 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~Graded Stakes}

A talented field of nine will go to the gate in this annual affair.

There is a good amount of speed couple with forwardly placed types to carry the pace well. Speed numbers are fairly close making it competitive. It should be one of the better Stakes races on the day. 

#5 Gold Standard (Geroux / B. Cox) looks ready to roll with a couple of good last out speed numbers and two solid peaking workouts. This gal hold the highest (tie) speed number at the distance. She should battle with the forwardly placed crew. A daughter of Medaglia d'Oro, she is 80% in the money from ten career starts.

#4 Whoa Nellie (Rocco / L. Jones) comes off an extended layoff with the fourth highest last out speed number and four superb peaking workouts. She is another that should race close to the pace. Sharing the highest speed number at the distance, this gal loves the surface and the Churchill track. A daughter of Orb, she is 90% in the money from ten career starts.

#8 Unique Factor (Lanerie / Miller) will be looking for a hot pace with a couple of excellent last out speed numbers and two bullet workouts. She sports the third highest speed number over the surface. A daughter of The Factor, she is 61% in the money from twenty-one career starts. She should be in the mix coming into the stretch.

#9 Sanenus [CHI] (Bejarano / McCarthy) holds a couple of very good last out speed numbers after having raced in her native Chile. This gal comes in rested and ready with four hearty workouts. She is another tracker that will looking for a pace to run into. A daughter of Scat Daddy, she is 70% in the money from ten career starts.

Aqueduct R9. Winter Memories Stakes.  We just missed on our 10 CENT Superfecta Box effort capturing three of the four wagering interests needed to cash. Superfecta went 5-6-3-1.

Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Vigilante's Way, finished 3rd for show money of $3.10.

Bankroll sheds some coin to settle at $14.77. We will supplement with a Lincoln for today's race.
