 Off we go (virtually of course) to fabulous South Florida to wager and watch on an exciting graded stakes Turf race.

A solid field of ten will venture onto the green in this annual graded stakes race.

There is plenty of speedsters and forwardly placed types to maintain a heated pace. Speed numbers are fairly close with a number in here hitting the triple digit ranks. All appear to be well prepped and well rested to step into Gulfstream's championship season. It should be a stellar race.

#10 Halladay (L. Saez / Pletcher) could have the edge over this group with the second highest last out speed number and two hearty workouts. This guy is undefeated over the Gulfstream course in three races. Look for him to be part of the speedy crew upfront. A son of War Front, he is 80% in the money from fifteen career starts.

#9 Factor This (J. Ortiz / B. Cox) will challenge with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed numbers and two strong workouts. He holds the highest speed number of the field at this distance. Look for him to be forwardly placed in the thick of the battle. A millionaire son of The Factor, he is 60% in the money from thirty-three career starts.

#2 Delaware [GB] (I. Ortiz / C. Brown) should contend sharing the fourth highest last out speed number and throwing down a couple of bullet workouts. He should benefit from a hot pace with his tracking running style. A son of Frankel [GB], he is 60% in the money from fifteen career starts.

#3 Doswell (Alvarado / Tagg) comes in fastening together two consecutive wins and four exceptional Turf workouts. This lad should be forwardly places looking to strike. He is one of four who are coming down in distance for this race. A son of Giant's Causeway, he 85% in the money from seven career starts.

Last Stakes Saturday (12/5) Results

Fair Grounds R9.  Pan Zareta Stakes.  Our first pick, Play On, finished 4th.  Our second pick, Into Mystic, finished 2nd for place money of $1.90 and show money of $3.20.  Our third pick, A Bit of Both, finished 5th.  Our fourth pick, Sterling Miss, finished 9th.

We failed in our Exacta Wheel effort. Superfecta went 2-11-1-4.

Bankroll gets flogged and drops to $11.12. We will supplement with a Hamilton and a Lincoln for today's race.
