Off we go, virtually, on our Superfecta Sunday to that great track down in NOLA.
Fair Grounds Race 10 {6 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~LA~Claiming}
A solid field of eleven Louisiana breds will go to the gate in this lucky last race on the card.
Past Performances used: Equibase.
All of the entrants have raced over the Fair Grounds track. There is enough speed to maintain a speedy pace. Speed numbers are very close making it any one of these horses race to win. All are Louisiana bred geldings. Our task is to loop together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta Box ticket. It should be a fantastic race to cap off a great weekend of racing in the "Big Easy".
#9 Inspector Eddie (S. Bridgmohan / Johnston) might have an edge as he takes up a position close to the pace. This guy has the third highest speed number at the distance and has put in a stout workout. He loves the distance and the Fair Grounds track. A son of Mineshaft, he is 68% in the money from sixteen career starts. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$1 SHOW.
#8 Spring Value (Gilligan / S. Wilson) should challenge with the third highest (tie) last out speed number and two peaky workouts. This guy should close strongly with the right pace set-up. He does hold the highest (tie) speed number at the distance. A son of Interactif, he has six victories from thirty career starts.
#14 Philly (C. Hernandez / Bourgeois) will contend and could go off as the favorite. He holds the highest (tie) last out speed number at a slightly longer distance and one suitable workout. This guy does class-up nicely with this group as he should be forwardly placed among the pace setting crew. A son of Star Guitar, he is 51% in the money from thirty-three career starts.
#4 Freed Indeed (Marquez / Deville) should be in the mix with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and two peaking workouts. This guy is another that could be part of the pace scenario. A son of Midshipman, he does have the fourth highest average earnings per race of this bunch.
10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)
#9 Inspector Eddie + #8 Spring Value + #14 Philly + #4 Freed Indeed.
