 We again look at the lucky last where the Surf meets the Turf.

A reduced field of ten will hit the green in this lucky last on the card.

There are enough forwardly placed types to produce an honest pace. Only four have raced over the Del Mar course. Most will be covering this distance for the first time. Speed numbers are fairly close. It should be a very good race on a day with few tracks in action.

#8 Carribean King (JJ Hernandez / Eurton) will stretch out to this distance with the fourth highest last out speed number and two sound workouts. He has the tacticl speed to feel out how the pace shapes up and go with the flow. This gelding loves the surface and the course. A son of Speightstown, he is 60% in the money from five starts.

#6 Sea of Cortez [IRE] (Periera / D'Amato) should track the pace with the highest last out speed number and three superb workouts. He will compete over the Del Mar course for the first time. This guy will be stretching out. A son of Caravaggio, he is 50% in the money from two starts.

#4 One of These Days [IRE] (G. Franco / D'Amato) is another tracker making his second North American start after racing twice in Ireland. He comes off a long layoff with four strong workouts. This gelding should show improvement. A son of Awtaad, he looks to hit the board in his fourth career race.

#2 Khantaro d'Oro (Fresu / O'Neill) should be forwardly placed with three good last out speed numbers and one high powered bullet workout. He relishes the surface and the course. A son of Kantharos, he is 62% in the money from eight starts.
