Stakes Saturday in Virginia

We look in on a good stakes race in Virginia.

Colonial Downs Race 9 {Star De Naskra Stakes~7 Furlongs~3 year-old~VA/MD Bred or Sired}

An average field of eight will go to the gate in this feature race.

Past Performance used:  Equibase.

There is sufficient speed to produce an honest pace. Speed numbers are very close. Only three have raced over the Colonial track.  One horse will be stretching out to this longer sprint distance. All have raced very well over a dirt surface. It should be a fun race to wager and watch on a great Stakes Saturday of racing.

#5 Barbadian Runner (F. Boyce / Walters) comes to the race with the highest last out speed number at a route and two sound workouts. This guy loves the dirt and is 100% in the money at the distance making him a specialist. Look for him to be part of the tracker pack. A son of Barbados, he is 78% in the money from fourteen starts.
