King's Plate Day at Woodbine

 We journey across the Northern border for some exceptionally exciting racing focusing on the big race, The King's Plate.

Woodbine Race 9 {King's Plate~1 1/4 mile~All Weather~3 year-old~Canadian Bred~Stakes}

A talented field of thirteen will go to the gate in Canada's premiere race.

There is plenty of speed to keep the pace rolling in this fantastic race. Speed numbers are very close making the race very competitive. All will be stretching out to this mile and a quarter distance. Only two ship in to try the Woodbine synthetic for the first time. One filly challenges the males in the race. It should be one of the best races on the day.

Superfecta Sunday at Saratoga

 We look up to the "Spa" for some exciting action on this Superfecta Sunday.

Saratoga Race 10 {1 1/8 mile~3 year-old Up~Allowance}

A reduced field of nine will enter the gate in this lucky last on the Saratoga card.

This one comes up a little light on speed. Speed numbers, however, are fairly close. Only four in this field have competed over the Saratoga track. A different four will be trying this distance for the first time. One will making his first North American start. It should be an excellent race to watch and wager.

A Grade Three Superfecta Sunday

 We stay in the "Pea Patch" for an exciting Turf battle for the Fillies.

Ellis Park Race 9 {Pucker Up Stakes~G3~1 1/8 mile~3 year-old~Fillies~Graded Stakes}

An intact field of ten will hit the grass in this annual affair.

There is plenty of speedy types and pressers to achieve a scintillating pace. Speed figs are fairly close. Only four have run this distance, the balance will be stretching out to the distance. Three have raced over the Ellis Park course. Only one will be making a surface switch for the first time. All are making their first grade three start. It should be a superb race on a great day of racing.

#10 Hereforagoodtime (Gaffalione / B. Walsh) has hit the board in all three of her starts at this distance. She comes into the race with the highest last out speed number and four solid workouts. Nashville Derby

 We journey into the "Pea Patch" to take in some great Turf action.

Ellis Park Race 8 {Nashville Derby~1 1/8 mile~TURF~3 year-old~Stakes}

A reduced field of eight will hit the Turf in this Kentucky Downs preview race.

There is sufficient speed in the race to keep the pace flowing. Only two have gone this distance. One has gone longer and the other five will be stretching out. Speed numbers are fairly close. Two entrants have raced over the Ellis Park course. It should be a fine race with a terrific field.

 On this Stakes Saturday we take in a fabulous Turf Sprint Handicap down at Ol' Del Mar.

Del Mar Thoroughbred Club Race 9 {Daisycutter Handicap~Five Furlongs~3 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~Stakes}

A solid field of ten will hit the green in this annual affair.

There is sufficient speed to produce an honest pace. Speed numbers are fairly close making the race competitive. Only two will try the Del Mar course for the first time. Three will attempt this distance for the first time. All are well prepped via their workouts for the race. It should be a great race on another exciting Del Mar card.

#6 Uncorked [AUS] (Prat / D'Amato) should track the pace closely and spring into the stretch. She holds the third highest (tie) last out speed number and has four supreme peaking workouts. We look in on a good stakes race in Virginia.

An average field of eight will go to the gate in this feature race.
