For the start of the horse racing weekend we look at a sprint race for California breds at Santa Anita.

A competitive field of nine will make the start.  Serene Sophia (Rosario / Baffert) has a slight edge with the third highest last out speed number and two strong workouts.  Our Road Scholar (Flores / Avila) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number and two robust workouts.  Shesoprovocative (Blanc / Hendricks) may surprise with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and four superior workouts.  Small But Mighty (Aligea / Capestro) will be in the mix with the second highest (tie) speed number at the distance and two athletic workouts.  Let's play beautiful Santa Anita.
