To the Turf at Churchill

As we head into the Memorial Day weekend, we look at a wonderful Turf mile at Churchill Downs.

Churchill Downs Race 10 {1 mile~Turf~3 year old Up~Allowance}
A good field of seven go to the gate in this Turf feature.  Mostly closers line up with one who likes to motor on the front end.  Should be an interesting Turf race.

#2 The Program (Theriot / Werner) will be moving up in distance and has a slight edge.  He has the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and two sharp, peaking workouts.  Should close favorably in the stretch.

#1 Ronin Dax (Lanerie / Vance) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one bullet workout.  Will be closing swiftly.

#5 Perregaux (Albarado / Howard) could wire this field on the front end after a layoff.  He holds the second highest speed number at the distance and has put in four fierce workouts.  He should hold on for a decent piece of the purse pie.

Other Wagering Interests

#3 Tanzana (Court / Simms) looks ready to run with a couple of decent last out efforts and two robust workouts.  Could be in the mix.

#7 Firm Resolve (Bridgmohan / Lovell) will be trying to make a step forward with the fourth highest last out speed number and one solid workout.  He might be in the hunt.

Hollywood Park R7.  Our first pick, Donner Wasser, finished 3rd for show money of $3.00.  Our second pick, Supoena the Dress, finished 6th.  Our third pick, Reddy Go Jaylo, finished 2nd for show money of $3.40.  Superfecta went 5-6-3-7.
Bankroll gets a few cent lift to $13.55.
