Today we look at a nice stakes race on the beautiful Turf at Del Mar.
Del Mar Race 5 {Sandy Blue Handicap~1 mile~Turf~3 year old~fillies~Stakes}
Lots of early defections leaves this race with a starting field of seven. A very even balance of running styles should make this one fascinating. All must be considered as a possible winner.
#7 Bauble Queen (Bejarano / Kruljak) could have a slight edge with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three strong. peaking workouts. She should be able to track and close into a steady pace.
$2 SHOW.
#2 Mizdirection (Gomez / Puype) will challenge as the favorite. She shares the highest last out speed number, is holding a two race progression, and has put in one quality workout. She should be forwardly placed.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#8 Dos Lunas (T. Baze / Robbins) will be ready with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four solid workouts. She could press and or track hoping to strike in the stretch.
#11 Dynamo (Rosario / Mandella) will be coming off a longer Turf route with the fourth highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three robust, peaking workouts. She hopes to have a favourable pace to close into.
